The Church of St Cuthbert in the Parish of North Meols

The church of St Cuthbert is the original parish church of the ancient parish of North Meols. With the development of Southport, this area became known as the Churchtown district of Southport and the name North Meols gradually disappeared from maps of the area. The ecclesiastical parish is still known as North Meols with the parish church being St Cuthbert.
